Tanya Morgan, Dramatherapist

Tanya Morgan Dramatherapist BA (hons) , HCPC

Dramatherapist

After completing a BA (hons) Tanya spent time working with children and young people with additional needs before completing an MA to become a qualified HCPC registered dramatherapist. Tanya works with clients on both a 1-1 and also group basis. Tanya has experience of developing and establishing dramatherapy provisions for a range of client groups. Tanya has significant experience of working with children and young people with a diagnosis of autism. Currently she works with children on the autistic spectrum (within a multi disciplinary team) and adults with profound learning difficulties Tanya also has experience of working with older people in care homes and day care centres specifically working with those affected by dementia. Dramatherapy encompasses many different Arts forms which include poetry, mime, puppetry, mask work, movement, art and music. These Art forms are integrated throughout dramatherapy sessions. We all play and dramatise throughout our life whether conscious of this fact or not. Tanya creates opportunities for self expression in a trusting, confident and supportive space, working at the individual’s level.

I adopt a client centred approach to therapy, focusing on impairment based and functional goals depending upon the client's needs.
