Occupational Therapist

Sharina completed her Occupational Therapy Degree in 2006. Since then, her focus has been in the paediatric field. Her speciality areas of practice include Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyspraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays, Neurological conditions, Physical and Learning Difficulties.

She has extensive experience in using standardised and non-standardised assessment for establishing a baseline on which intervention can be delivered and continually evaluated. Committed to family centred care, Sharina aims to ensure she provides individuals and families with endless possibilities for growth and development.

She has delivered training and seminars to parents, teachers, health professionals, schools and educational psychology services.

" How Does Your Engine Run: The Alert Program for Self-Regulation, by Carla Cay Williams. " The Therapressure Brushing Protocol for "Sensory Defensiveness", presented by Patricia and Julia Wilbarger. " Understanding Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Training for Children with ASD. " Psychomotricity and Graphomotricity Basis for children with handwriting challenges. She continues to remain up to date on her training through online webinars and also attending any new treatment courses, which become available. She has a strong passion for working with children and has dedicated her career to further developing her knowledge and practical skills to be a leading practitioner within her field.
